As you know, the UK has now left the EU and this impacts our right to work policy & the checks we need to make. For UK or non-EU citizens, there are no changes but for EU citizens, you must now have applied for, or been granted settlement status by the Home Office.
As an employer, we will need proof of this – either a letter, or endorsed Biometric Resident Permit.
This also applies to citizens of the EFTA states – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Irish citizens continue to have the right to enter, live and work in the UK without requiring any permissions. This is because of the Common Travel Area (CTA) arrangements.
